Linda Beers-Buie

 

I received my art training from The Corcoran School of Art, the Maryland Institute of Art, Penland School of Crafts and a BFA in Textiles from Virginia Commonwealth University. My artistic media range from pen and ink drawings, silk screen prints,oil paintings, collages to woven textiles. The subject of "the line" has always been of the most interest to me. I follow that line thru renderings of intricate detail in fabrics, hair, fur, lettering and such. In most recent years my love of animals  inspired years of painting pet portraits in oil. Today my interest in line continues in collages as well as oil painting depicting people as well as animals.
